Our purpose is to deliver high quality dental care to children and adults. We want to raise the public awareness about available dental products and services in order to help our patients achieve better dental health. We want our patients to  receive the best possible care, be satisfied with the service they received from us, and as a result, actively refer others to our practice.

Background Information

Dentistry requires four years of training beyond college at an accredited dental school in the United States or Canada. Graduates receive either a DDS (doctor of dental surgery) or DMD (doctor of medical dentistry) degree. Either degree signifies that the graduate is a dentist; the only difference is the dental school attended and which degree that particular school awards to its graduates.

Dr. Christensen graduated from Oregon Health Sciences University in 1998 with a DMD degree. He then attended a one-year postgraduate training program called Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) with the U.S. Army at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Dr. Christensen spent an additional three years as a dentist in the U.S. Army in Germany before moving to Nampa with his family.

As a general dentist, Dr. Christensen manages a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth, and facial regions. Dr. Christensen’s expertise includes a full scope of dentistry ranging from cosmetic procedures to simple tooth  removal, wisdom tooth removal, root canals, and placement of dentures and partial dentures. Dr. Christensen can also diagnose and treat minor facial injuries and TMJ disorders.

Dr. Christensen also offers oral sedation and nitrous oxide to anxious or fearful patients within our state-of-the art office setting. Patients are continuously monitored during and after their appointments. In addition, Dr. Christensen has hospital privileges at Mercy Medical Center in Nampa. Some patients request that their dental treatment be performed under general anesthesia provided by a board certified anesthesiologist in the hospital operating room.
